The Law on the Protection of the Rights and Interests of the Elderly stipulates: "If an elderly person has no ability to work, no source of livelihood, no support or dependents, or if his or her dependents really have no support or ability to support, the local people's governments at various levels shall provide support or assistance according to relevant regulations." "Government-funded institutions for the elderly should give priority to the service needs of the economically poor, lonely, disabled, elderly and other elderly people."
The Opinions of the CPC Central Committee and The State Council on Strengthening Work on Aging in the New Era were adopted by the CPC Central Committee and The State Council on November 18, 2021.
