Jiangsu is one of the earliest provinces that has entered the aging society and also has a high degree of population aging in the whole country. According to "the 14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Elderly Care Services in Jiangsu Province", "Sushi Elderly Care" focuses on the construction of "five systems", including the basic elderly care service security system, the service supply system coordinated by home community institutions, the old-age service facility layout planning system, the old-age service element support system and the comprehensive supervision and emergency system of old-age service.

In the development indicators, the emphasis on local conditions, give play to comparative advantages, scientific selection of the proportion of nursing beds, the coverage of home-based services and other statistical basis, with Jiangsu characteristics, while "jump jump reach" development indicators, to promote the assessment "baton" function better, promote the quality and expansion of elderly care services in Jiangsu Province continue to improve.

Taking Wuxi as an example, the registered elderly population in the city has reached 1.363 million, which has entered the "deep aging" society. There were 108 day care centers for the elderly, and all urban and rural community institutions for the elderly covered the country. The number of old people receiving home-based care assistance in the city accounted for more than 17%; More than 6,400 families of elderly people with difficulties were retrofitted for aging.

At present, Wuxi has been selected into the national intelligent society governance experimental characteristics (elderly care) base list, is the only district city in Jiangsu Province selected. With the integration of elderly care services in the Yangtze River Delta, Wuxi has also built the first cross-provincial and county-level demonstration benchmarking area for happy elderly care in China.
